Lawrence Bender was born in October 17, 1957 in Bronx, New York, USA. He was born to parents of a Jewish origin. Lawrence Bender was brought up in New Jersey. His father was a college history professor while his mother was a kindergarten teacher. Lawrence Bender had the opportunity to join Cherry Hill High School East. While still in high school, Lawrence got inspired by his grandfather. He wanted to be like his grandfather. His granddad was a civil engineer by profession. After completing his secondary education level, he joined the University of Maine. There he pursued engineering. In the year 1979, Lawrence Bender graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, just like his grandfather. Lawrence chose to pursue engineering because he had earlier heard that the field had more job opportunities.
While in Campus, Lawrence Bender developed a strong passion for dancing. He used to attend dancing classes back in the university. When he graduated, he opted to continue with his dancing career, instead of practising civil engineering. Bender teamed up with a particular entertainment group. Together, they travelled all over the United States performing and dancing in different shows. After several years of dancing, Lawrence got an injury that brought his dancing career to a screeching halt. This greatly affected him. He later decided to pursue another career. Today Lawrence is a celebrated movie producer in the United States. He has over two decades experience in the movie industry.
Bender came into the limelight when he produced the movie ‘Reservoir Dogs’ in the year 1992. From that time on, Lawrence Bender has produced many other movies like Django, Death proof, Safe, Pulp Fiction, the Mexican, the Great Raid, From Dusk Till Dawn, Good Will Hunting, Quentin Tarnation and Four Rooms. Lawrence has a tranquil life. He is passionate about politics and social causes. Lawrence is also a member of the board of Harvard’s John .F. Kennedy school of government. Bender is also an environmentalist. At one time he campaigned against the use of gas-guzzling SUV’s in the US to avoid degrading the environment.
